New 2019 Emoji Candidates Include Service Dog, Deaf Person and More Couples

The Unicode Consortium is working on the list of emojis that will be added to Unicode 12 in 2019, and today Emojipedia shared some details on new emoji candidates that have been suggested for inclusion.

New candidates for Unicode 12 include service dog, deaf people, and mixed race couples.

Because the list of emojis has not yet been finalized, these new emoji candidates won’t be included for sure, but they could make their way onto various platforms that support emoji if the Unicode Consortium ultimately approves them.

Mazda Continues CarPlay Rollout With 2019 CX-9

Mazda this week introduced the 2019 CX-9, its second vehicle to be equipped with CarPlay in the United States, alongside the 2018 Mazda6.

CarPlay and Android Auto come factory installed in Touring, Touring Premium, Grand Touring, and Signature trims of the 2019 CX-9, as part of the MAZDA CONNECT infotainment system with an eight-inch display. The software platforms do not appear to be an option in the base Sport trim at this time.

Mazda says the 2019 CX-9 will begin to arrive at select dealerships in the United States this month, with nationwide availability in September. Pricing for CarPlay-equipped packages starts at $35,330.

Adobe to Launch Full Version of Photoshop for iPad, Expected in 2019

Adobe will launch a „full version“ of Photoshop for iPad in 2019, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman and Nico Grant. The report claims Adobe will preview the app at its annual MAX creative conference in October.

Adobe’s chief of Creative Cloud software Scott Belsky confirmed that the company is working on a new cross-platform version of Photoshop and other apps, but declined to specify the timing of their launches.
