Apple Adds New 12-inch MacBook Leather Sleeve to Online Accessory Store

During today’s global Apple Store downtime in preparation for iPhone X pre-orders, Apple quietly added a new Leather Sleeve for the 12-inch MacBook to its Mac Accessories store section.

Costing $149, the leather sleeve with soft microfiber lining is available in Saddle Brown and Midnight Blue colors. The case can also be twinned with Apple’s iPhone X Leather Case ($49), also available in Saddle Brown and Midnight Blue.

The Leather Sleeve for 12-inch MacBook currently ships in 1 business day at the time of writing.

One Day Sales Hit Leviton HomeKit Switches, Beats Pill+ Speakers, and Sideclick Siri Remote Accessory

A few one-day-only sales today have discounted some useful Apple accessories and HomeKit products, including discounts on Leviton dimmers and light switches over at The Home Depot. KGI: Apple’s Own Wireless Charging Accessory Will Not Debut at Today’s Event

Apple isn’t prepared to debut its own first-party wireless charging accessory for the upcoming iPhones, according to KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. The iPhone X, iPhone 8, and iPhone 8 Plus are all expected to support inductive wireless charging when they are announced later today, so in the interim between the smartphones‘ launch and the launch of a first-party Apple wireless charging pad, users will have to purchase third-party accessories.

Apple Used Bluetooth Low Energy Audio for Cochlear Implant iPhone Accessory

Late last month Apple revealed it had partnered with hearing aid company Cochlear to launch the first Made For iPhone Cochlear implant, which can stream audio from an iOS device directly to a surgically embedded sound processor.
