OnePlus Again Pokes Fun at Apple’s Headphone Jack Removal During OnePlus 6 Announcement

OnePlus today announced the launch of its latest flagship phone, the OnePlus 6, and the company couldn’t resist taking yet another jab at Apple and its decision to remove the headphone jack from its flagship iPhones.

During the event, OnePlus introduced new $69 OnePlus Bullets Wireless headphones that are shipping alongside the new OnePlus 6. „Just one thing though. I wonder. If you can connect your earphones using Bluetooth, you don’t need a headphone jack anymore, do you?“ said Carl Pei, OnePlus co-founder.

2018 iPhones Again Said to Have Faster 18W USB-C Charger in Box

Apple’s widely rumored trio of new iPhone models expected to be announced in September will feature 18-watt USB-C power adapters in the box for much faster wired charging, according to ChargerLab.

Kuo Again Predicts No 3D Touch for 2018 6.1-Inch LCD iPhone

Apple’s upcoming 6.1-inch LCD iPhone may not feature 3D Touch due to cost constraints, according to a new note shared yesterday by KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo and published by Chinese site Feng.

Kuo says that the 6.1-inch iPhone will use what he calls „Cover Glass Sensor“ (CGS) technology, relocating the iPhone’s touch module from the display panel (in-cell technology) to the surface glass. The CGS method reportedly results in a display that’s lighter and more shock resistant.

iMac Pro Again Available for $3,999 From Micro Center Stores

Micro Center retail stores are once again offering the entry-level iMac Pro for $3,999, an impressive discount of $1,000 off of the regular $4,999 price tag for the newly released machine.

The same deal was offered earlier in the month, and iMac Pro models available at Micro Center stores were snapped up quickly. Based on the online stock checking tool, most Micro Center locations have at least one iMac Pro in stock, with some, such as the Westmont Micro Center in Illinois, listing 10+ machines available for purchase.
