Numerous Apps Caught up in Apple’s New App Store Review Policy to Ban Gambling-Related Apps

In an attempt to crack down on gambling-related apps in the App Store, Apple has today implemented a new App Review policy for individual developers, but many apps that are being banned as a result appear to have very little to do with gambling at all.

Our newsstand/news/magazine app just got removed from sale from the App Store 24 hours after our 3.0 update was approved. Reason given: gambling/fraudulent activity. We publish a magazine — nothing to do with gambling or fraud at all. 😞😢😲😱 https://t.co/ewu3mE5FG5 pic.twitter.com/vaKtLthvkW

Instagram has not used a chronological feed for years now, making it difficult to determine when you’ve seen all of the new content on the social network.

Instagram may be planning to fix this issue with a new „You’re All Caught Up“ feature that’s designed to notify users when all unseen posts from the last 48 hours have been viewed.

The feature was first noticed by TechCrunch, and an Instagram spokesperson confirmed that it is being tested and will show up for a limited number of users.

Instagram did not, however, share details on how it works and whether it includes every single post from the people you follow or just the [...]

Apple Investigating AirPods That Allegedly Caught Fire in Florida

Florida resident Jason Colon was listening to his AirPods while at the gym this week when they started to malfunction, and a white smoke allegedly started pouring out.

According to Colon, he then left the AirPods sitting on a piece of gym equipment and ran to get help, and when he got back, one of the AirPods was charred and destroyed.

„It was already like this. It was already popped. I didn’t see it happen, but I mean, it was already fried! You can see flame damage,“ Colon told a local channel 8 news station.

It appears no one else at the gym was around to see what happened to the AirPod, so it’s not clear if the device did [...]
