Snapchat CEO on Facebook Copying Stories: They Should ‚Copy Our Data Protection Practices Also‘

Recode’s annual Code Conference is underway in Rancho Palos Verdes, California this week, and on Tuesday Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel took the stage to discuss the ephemeral app’s controversial update, Facebook’s copying, and the recent Cambridge Analytica scandal.

Specifically, Spiegel is said to have „poured salt on the wound“ during his 40-minute interview with Kara Swisher as he called out Facebook and its ongoing struggles with user privacy. Samsung’s Galaxy S9 Expected to Copy iPhone X’s Animoji Feature

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus will reportedly copy one of the iPhone X’s most popular new features: Animoji.

Korean website ETNews claims the flagship smartphones will have a new 3D emoji function that is „more advanced“ than Animoji. Like on the iPhone X, users will be able to choose from various 3D characters, including animals, that mimic facial movements as tracked by the Galaxy S9’s facial recognition sensors.

1Password 7 Launching With Support for iPhone X, Face ID, Drag and Drop on iPad, Quick Copy, and More

AgileBits today is releasing 1Password 7 for iOS with several new features, just one day before the iPhone X launches around the world.

1Password has been redesigned with the iPhone X’s new screen size and dimensions in mind. The app now supports Face ID for unlocking with the iPhone X’s facial recognition system, in addition to the existing options of using Touch ID on older iPhone models or manually typing in a master password.
