Pokémon GO creators Niantic are looking at ways to incorporate audio into future AR game experiences, according to the company’s chief technology officer.
Speaking on a panel discussing augmented reality at TechCrunch’s Disrupt event, Niantic CTO Phil Keslin said that audio cues would mean players wouldn’t have to awkwardly hold their phone up while interacting with games like GO.

Apple updated its App Store Review Guidelines this week to indicate that developers may now sell virtual currencies in the form of in-app purchases to enable customers to „tip“ content creators within apps.
Like all other in-app purchases, Apple will now receive a 30 percent cut from the virtual currencies used for tipping.
Tipping within apps is popular in China, where live-streaming apps like Yinke and Yizhibo have long allowed viewers to tip or give virtual gifts to the stars they watch as a token of gratitude, according to TechCrunch.

Mobile game developer Jam City and creator Matt Groening have announced an all-new Futurama game is coming to iOS and Android early this summer, called Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow. The game is being developed with the show’s original writers, animators, and cast members, and the new teaser trailer represents the first fully-animated Futurama content since it went off the air in 2013.

Developer Mojang today announced that Minecraft players on iOS, Android, and Windows 10 will soon be able to browse an all-new „Marketplace,“ where they’ll find skins, mini-games, textures, and worlds designed by other players, creators, and community members. The company said this marks the first time players will be able to download and play community creations directly from within Minecraft itself.
