Samsung today sent out invitations announcing an upcoming Unpacked event set to be held on August 23 in New York City.
The South Korean company is widely expected to introduce its next-generation Galaxy Note device at the event, with the new smartphone hinted at through a „Do Bigger Things“ slogan and a stylized image of an S Pen next to a smartphone-sized device.

A questionable rumor has surfaced today suggesting Apple could unveil a new iPhone SE next month, but it might just be more noise in iPhone silly season.
The rumor comes from French-language blog iGeneration, which cited an unnamed source claiming Apple will hold a product event in late August to introduce an updated version of the 4-inch smartphone.
Mickaël Bazoge, the author of the article, told MacRumors that he received the info from a „new source“ with an unproven track record. He expressed some skepticism, but added that the source „seems reliable.“

Ahead of the 2017 Worldwide Developers Conference, set to kick off on Monday, June 5, Apple has updated its official WWDC app for the event, introducing several new features and a revamped look.
According to Apple’s release notes, the updated app features curated video playlists centered on featured themes, interactive venue and street maps, and a new Venue tab that provides information about the conference site in San Jose, California. For the first time in many years, WWDC will take place at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose rather than the Moscone Center in San Francisco. There are also stickers for Messages featuring classic Apple icons.
