What to Expect at Apple’s September 2018 Event: New iPhones, Apple Watch Series 4, AirPods, AirPower and More

On Wednesday, September 12, Apple will hold its annual iPhone-centric event at the Steve Jobs Theater on the Apple Park campus. This year’s theme is „Gather Round,“ the line that was on the invitations sent out to members of the media in late August.

This year’s event is shaping up to be quite exciting, with three new iPhones and refreshed Apple Watch Series 4 models on the horizon. Bigger displays seem to be the major draw this year, with Apple introducing both a 6.5-inch iPhone and larger-screened Apple Watch models that have smaller bezels.

Steve Jobs on the App Store in 2008: ‚We Didn’t Expect It to Be This Big‘

Following the launch of the App Store in 2008, Apple CEO Steve Jobs sat down for an interview with The Wall Street Journal.

In celebration of the recent 10th anniversary of the App Store, The Wall Street Journal today published both the audio and transcript of that interview, where Jobs shares his view on the future of the App Store and the future of Apple.

The interview took place in August of 2008, a month after the launch of the App Store. Even back then, just after its debut, the App Store’s success surprised Jobs, who said Apple hadn’t expected the App Store to „be this big.“ „The mobile industry’s never seen anything like [...]

What to Expect at Apple’s ‚Let’s Take a Field Trip‘ Educational Event on March 27

Apple is holding its first event of 2018 on Tuesday, March 27 at the Lane Tech College Prep High School in Chicago. According to invites sent out to members of the media last week, the event will focus on „creative new ideas for teachers and students.“

This is Apple’s first education-centric event since 2012, hence the unusual location. With most events, we tend to have concrete rumors on what to expect, but things are a little more up in the air with the educational event.
