OnLeaks‘ Steve Hemmerstoffer today tweeted that the AirPods wireless charging case will be ready to launch sometime soon, but the actual AirPods 2 with „Hey, Siri“ funtionality may be delayed to the fall.
OnLeaks itself casts some doubt on this rumor, by stating up front that the news was gained from a „new and yet unconfirmed,“ but seemingly reliable source. Hemmerstoffer appears to be most certain about the wireless charging case launching soon and being shipped with the first-generation AirPods.
Some #AirPods2 details I got from a new and yet unconfirmed but seemingly reliable source. Thus, I can't [...]
The Los Angeles rail and bus transit system should allow iPhone-owning members of the public to use Apple Pay for fare payments before the year is out.
MacRumors can confirm that LA Metro, the transit agency that manages integration of the TAP card system in the Los Angeles Area, said it is working with Apple to support mobile payments for iPhones, with rollout scheduled for this fall. If you are not over age 65 and want to use Fall Detection, it will need to be enabled in the Emergency SOS section of the Apple Watch app.

Thanks to the expected solid performance of the iPhones this year, Apple’s main supply partners TSMC and Foxconn are looking forward to new revenue highs in Q4 2018.
Specifically, if suppliers hit this range it will be the best performance for an iPhone since the launch of the iPhone 6 models in 2014. One of the main reasons for the boost is given to the „price-friendliness“ of the 6.1-inch LCD iPhone, which Apple is expected to introduce as a cheaper alternative to the [...]
