iOS 11 Indoor Maps Feature Now Available at More Than 40 Airports and Malls

Starting in iOS 11, Apple introduced support for indoor maps for select malls and airports around the world. Indoor maps have been slow to roll out, but Apple has been steadily adding additional mall and airport maps since September.

Apple today began listing indoor maps for malls and airports on its iOS 11 feature availability page, giving us a clear picture of exactly where the indoor mapping feature is available for the first time.

Apple offers indoor maps at 34 airports around the world, in countries that include the United States, the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Hong Kong, the UK, and Canada.

Twitter Launches New ‚Threads‘ Feature for Tweetstorms

Twitter today announced the launch of a new „Threads“ feature, which is designed to link multiple tweets together to make them easier to read.

Twitter users often share multiple numbered tweets on a topic or idea, and this practice is generally referred to as a „tweetstorm.“ With Threads, two or more tweets can be linked, simplifying and streamlining the tweetstorm concept.

When you create a tweet on Twitter, you can use the „+“ button to add more tweets to the original tweet in the compose window. All of your tweets can be drafted ahead of time and then sent out at once using the new „Tweet All“ button.

Things 3.3 Update Brings New ‚Mail to Things‘ Feature to the To-Do App

Popular to-do app Things reached version 3.3 today and gained a new feature that enables users to generate to-dos from anywhere by sending an email to their Things Cloud account.

Previously, Things offered four ways to add to-dos: Quick Entry, Siri, 3D Touch, and the Add to Things extension. However, the limitation of these methods is that they’re only available from within the Apple ecosystem. To make the process of adding tasks more accessible and convenient, Mail to Things allows users to send emails to a special private address, which automatically converts them into to-dos and adds them to their Things task list.

watchOS 4.1 GymKit Feature Rolls Out to First U.S. Gym

GymKit, the watchOS 4.1 feature that allows the Apple Watch to interface with gym equipment like treadmills, has started rolling out in the United States in a very limited capacity.

According to CNET, GymKit is available at the Life Time Athletic location at Sky in New York City. This is the sole location where GymKit is available, but it is coming to Equinox locations and additional Life Time Athletic locations in 2018.

GymKit is also available at select locations in the United Kingdom and Australia.
