Apple Pay Promotion Offers Free Bonus Credits With $10 TouchTunes Purchase

Apple’s latest Apple Pay promotion, which is Halloween-themed, offers Apple Pay users three free bonus credits when making a purchase of $10 or more in the TouchTunes jukebox app on iOS devices.

TouchTunes is designed to let users play the jukebox at more than 65,000 bars and restaurants across the United States. To get the credit, users will need to download TouchTunes and make a $10+ credits purchase to receive the free credits. Credits within TouchTunes are used to play songs at local jukeboxes.

Google Follows in Apple’s Footsteps With Free 4K Movie Upgrades and Cheaper Prices of $20 and Under

Google this week announced that it will now automatically upgrade all previously purchased films from participating Hollywood studios to 4K, even if those movies were originally bought in SD or HD. The company is also reducing the price of new 4K movies on its Google Play store to match SD/HD prices of $19.99 and below. Previously, 4K films on Google Play rose to as much as $30.

App Store Bundles Gain Support for Mac Apps and Free Apps With Subscriptions

Apple today announced expanded features for App Store bundles, introducing support for both Mac apps and free apps with subscriptions for the first time.

Mac app developers are now able to create bundles of up to 10 apps, allowing customers to purchase multiple Mac apps at once at a discounted price.

Bundles like these have long been available through the iOS app store for purchasing multiple games or apps at one time, but until today, Mac App Store developers were not able to create similar bundles.

Apple to Offer Original TV Content Free to Apple Device Owners

Apple is developing a new digital video service that will combine the company’s own subscription services and original television content with content from various media companies, reports CNBC.

Citing sources familiar with Apple’s plans, CNBC says that Apple will provide Apple-owned and created content for free to customers who own devices like the iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV, with the television shows housed in the company’s TV app.
