Apple Extends Free Repairs of Anti-Reflective Coating on Select MacBook and MacBook Pro Models

Apple has extended free repairs of anti-reflective coating issues for all 12-inch MacBook models and 2013 or newer MacBook Pro models.

Apple has authorized coverage within four years from the original purchase date of an affected MacBook or MacBook Pro, according to an internal document distributed to Apple Authorized Service Providers and later obtained by MacRumors.

Eligible 12-inch MacBook or 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro models qualify for a free display replacement within the four-year coverage period. Sprint Announces Unlimited Freedom Customers Will Get Free Access to Hulu Starting This Friday

Sprint and Hulu today announced a partnership that will bundle the Limited Commercials tier of the streaming TV service into Sprint’s Unlimited Freedom cellular plan. This means that new and existing Sprint customers who sign up for Unlimited Freedom beginning Friday, November 17 will be able to watch Hulu with Limited Commercials at no extra cost.

Logitech to Upgrade Harmony Link Owners for Free Following Online Backlash

Logitech has announced in a blog post that it will offer Harmony Link hub owners a free upgrade to the more recent Harmony Hub before it bricks the older smart home controller in early 2018.

Previously, the company had offered owners who were out of warranty a 35 percent discount on the newer $100 hub to compensate for the six-year-old Harmony Link’s deactivation in spring of next year, when the device’s encryption certificate expires.
