Instagram today debuted a new feature called „Nametag,“ which is a customizable identification card that’s designed to allow people to easily find your Instagram profile when it’s scanned.
The Nametag feature makes it simpler for people who you meet in real life to follow you on Instagram. You can set up your Nametag by going to your profile, tapping the hamburger button at the top, and selecting the „Nametag“ option.
Nametags can be personalized with various colors, emojis, selfies, and stickers.

Apple Music appears to be rolling out an all-new weekly playlist called „Friends Mix“ to a few subscribers today. According to Reddit user Reesyy, the new curated playlist will be filled with songs that your Apple Music friends are listening to.
In order to keep track of which friend listened to each song, the playlist will include a profile picture on the songs as well. Friends Mix will update on Monday every week and include 25 tracks in each update, similar to the other Apple Music weekly playlists.

Facebook today announced the global launch of „Watch Party,“ a desktop and mobile feature revealed in May that allows Facebook Groups to join in and watch videos on the platform together in real time. The videos themselves can be previously recorded or live videos, and members in the Watch Party can comment and send reactions as the video plays.
To start a Watch Party, one member (the „host“) navigates to a Group page, taps the new Watch Party icon, writes a message, and finds videos to add to the playlist. Instagram today announced the launch of a new feature that’s designed to let you know when your friends are active on the social network. When a friend is online, their profile picture will be accented with a green dot in various places within the app.
You’ll see the green dot in the Direct inbox and in your friends list when you share a post from the feed. Dots will be displayed for friends who follow you or people you have previously spoken to in Direct.
If desired, you can hide your own status and turn off the ability to see when your friends are active in the settings section of the Instagram app.
