Apple’s TV App Gains Live Sports and News in Canada as FIFA World Cup Begins

Just in time for the FIFA World Cup, which began today, live sports are now available in Apple’s TV app on iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV in Canada.

At launch, Sportsnet, TSN, RDS, CBC, and DAZN will bring sports content from a large selection of major sports leagues to the TV app on iPhones and iPads with iOS 11.2 and later, the fourth-generation Apple TV, and Apple TV 4K.

Apple Store Gains Exclusive Accessories From Cycling Brand Rapha

An exclusive collection of backpacks, messenger bags, sleeves, and more from cycling brand Rapha is now available from the online Apple Store and, starting tomorrow, Apple retail stores.

Apple recently started carrying a selection of cycling gear like the SmartHalo Bike System and the Lumos Smart Bike Helmet, and it’s now expanding that lineup with Rapha’s accessories.

The Rapha collection includes accessories that range from a $130 Mini Messenger Bag to a $150 Convertible Backpack to $65-$70 sleeves for the MacBook, MacBook Pro, and iPad Pro.

Safari Gains Favicon Support in iOS 12 and macOS Mojave

Apple at its WWDC keynote on Monday previewed iOS 12 and macOS Mojave, both of which feature Safari 12.

The latest version of Apple’s web browser adds long-awaited support for favicons, which are the tiny icons that appear to the left of website page titles in tabs and bookmark bars. In many cases, a favicon is a website’s or brand’s logo.

Microsoft was first to support favicons with Internet Explorer in 1999, and Chrome and Firefox have displayed favicons for many years as well, so this was a long time coming for Safari. Pixelmator Pro Gains New Exporting Tools, Auto Color Adjustments and Touch Bar Support

Pixelmator Pro, a graphics and image editing app from the Pixelmator team, received its first major update today to introduce new features that include MacBook Pro Touch Bar support, new tools for exporting images, auto color adjustment options, a Tutorials page, and more.

The app now includes full support for the Touch Bar on recent 13 and 15-inch MacBook Pro models, providing quick access to tools for making color adjustments, choosing effect presets, selecting colors for brushes, and more.
