Apple Watch Series 4 models set to be released this fall will feature a new design and a display that’s 15 percent larger, according to predictions shared by KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo in a new note that was sent out to investors this morning (via 9to5Mac).
In addition to a new design with larger displays, the new fourth-generation Apple Watch models will feature a longer battery life enabled through more battery capacity and improved health monitoring capabilities. Verizon plans to stop selling unlocked smartphones as a way to deter criminals from stealing the devices, the company told CNET.
As of today, Verizon devices will be locked to the Verizon network and unlocked as soon as a customer signs up for service and activates the phone. Later in the spring, though, smartphones will remain locked until unlocked by Verizon, and Verizon has not yet shared details on how long it will keep phones locked before offering to unlock them.
Verizon previously sold all of its smartphones, iPhones included, unlocked, which means they were not tied to the Verizon network and could be used with any carrier right after purchase.
As the launch of the HomePod approaches, it’s no longer possible to place an order for delivery on Friday, February 9 in the United States. HomePod orders submitted today on the Apple online store will deliver next week, on February 12 to February 13.
In-store pickup for HomePod orders also became unavailable on Tuesday morning, suggesting Apple’s initial online HomePod supply has been exhausted.
HomePod supply in the United Kingdom and Australia has also dwindled, and new HomePod orders placed in those countries will be delivered between Monday, February 12 and Wednesday, February 14.

Following the release of iOS 11.0.1 and iOS 11.0.2 on September 26 and October 3, respectively, Apple has stopped signing both iOS 10.3.3 and iOS 11.0, the previous versions of iOS that were available to consumers.
iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch owners who have upgraded to iOS 11.0.1, iOS 11.0.2, or iOS 11 will no longer be able to downgrade to the iOS 10.3.3 operating system.
Apple routinely stops signing older versions of software updates after new releases come out in order to encourage customers to keep their operating systems up to date.
