iMac Pro Base Model Teardown Reveals 2x SSD RAID Configuration and Four 8GB DIMM Modules

While we await iFixit’s inevitable comprehensive teardown of Apple’s new iMac Pro, third party Mac component supplier OWC has just published its own teardown video, providing some interesting tidbits on the internal configuration of the non-user upgradeable machine.

Black Friday 2017: Save $800 on Base Model 2016 15-Inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar

Apple authorized reseller B&H Photo Video is offering an impressive $800 discount on the 2016 15-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar.

The flash Black Friday sale drops the price of last year’s base model MacBook Pro in silver to $1,599, down from Apple’s original price of $2,399 last year. That is by far the lowest price we’ve ever seen for this particular model.

The base model 2016 15-inch MacBook Pro is equipped with a 2.6GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB of RAM, 256GB of SSD storage, and both dedicated AMD Radeon Pro 450 and integrated Intel HD Graphics 530 graphics.

While newer 2017 MacBook Pro models with Kaby [...]

The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus accounted for 16 percent of total iPhone sales in the July-September 2017 quarter, which means the new smartphones „look much more like an ‚S‘ model“ in terms of sales. According to a report sent to MacRumors today by Consumer Intelligence Research Partners, the new devices actually represented a smaller sales percentage than ‚S‘ devices have in past years, particularly in comparison to the iPhone 6s with 24 percent of iPhone sales in 2015.

In terms of each model, the iPhone 8 had 6 percent of iPhone sales and the iPhone 8 Plus had 10 percent in the fiscal quarter ending October 1, 2017. While the [...]
