Apple Business Chat Expands to Dish Network, Philadelphia Phillies, American Express, and Others

Apple Business Chat, which is customer service through iMessage, is expanding to a total of 10 new partners and technology platforms.

Apple on Friday announced that satellite TV provider DISH, concessions operator Aramark, hotel chain Four Seasons, food and gift producer Harry & David, and credit card company American Express are adopting the service.

Here’s the rundown from Apple:

Aramark is launching a 10-game pilot of „Brew2You“ at Citizens Bank Park, home of the Philadelphia Phillies. By scanning a QR code on their seat back, fans in three sections can use Business Chat to order beer or water and have it delivered to their seat. [...]

Apple to Expand Digital Advertising Network to Third-Party Apps

Apple is aiming to expand its digital advertising network by offering ad deals to companies that include Snap and Pinterest, reports The Wall Street Journal. Apple is hoping to build an Apple ad network that would distribute ads across apps, providing a share of revenue to the apps that display the ads.

With these Apple ads, searching for something like „Drapes“ in Pinterest could show up an ad from Apple for an interior design app, as an example.

Sprint and T-Mobile Reach Merger Agreement, Plan for ‚World’s Best‘ 5G Network

Sprint and T-Mobile have finally reached a merger agreement, which means if approved by regulators, two of the four major carriers in the United States will combine into one entity in an all-stock deal worth billions.

The new combined company will be named T-Mobile and current T-Mobile CEO John Legere will serve as the Chief Executive Officer. Sprint and T-Mobile say the company will be a „force for positive change“ in the U.S. wireless, video, and broadband industries, supercharging T-Mobile’s Un-carrier strategy and allowing the new company to „lead in the 5G era.“
