Pinterest Gains Collaborative ‚Activity Feed‘ Tool to Make Event Planning Easier

Pinterest today announced the launch of a new social collaboration tool, called the „activity feed“ for group boards. This section of the app will let members weigh in with a quick like or comment, @ mention another user, or start a new thread, and includes updates when members add new pins, create new sections, new members join, someone likes or comments, and more.

The app had comment support before, but each comment had to be attached to a specific pin. Snapchat Planning to Launch ‚Internal App Store‘ for Games This Fall

Snapchat is looking to build its own „internal app store“ of gaming titles, according to a new report out today from The Information.

The platform is set for a tentative launch sometime this fall, and will allow outside developers to build games that Snapchat then distributes for users to play within the Snapchat app.

People familiar with the company’s plans claim that Snapchat has already lined up one gaming publisher to make a new game for Snapchat’s app store.

Apple Planning iPhones With Touchless Gesture Controls and Curved Screens to Launch Within Three Years

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has a new report out this morning, claiming that Apple is working on future iPhone models that will incorporate „touchless gesture control“ as well as curved screens. The company is said to be looking at how it can differentiate its flagship product in a smartphone market that’s becoming increasingly saturated with devices.

Microsoft Planning to Integrate Cortana Into Outlook Apps for iOS and Android

Microsoft is planning to integrate its AI assistant Cortana directly into the Outlook mobile apps on iOS and Android, according to people familiar with the company’s plans speaking with The Verge. Cortana currently offers various email-related actions and commands on supported devices, but the assistant can not be called up within Outlook on smartphones.
