Samsung Ad Pokes Fun at Apple Genius Bar and Touts Faster Galaxy S9 LTE Speeds

Samsung’s back to a familiar advertising tactic in its latest Galaxy S9 video – making fun of Apple. The new „Ingenius: Speed“ ad shared this afternoon by Samsung pokes fun at the Genius Bar while touting Samsung’s faster download speeds.

In the video, a customer at the „Ingenius“ bar that resembles an Apple Store asks about the iPhone X’s download speeds compared to the Galaxy S9’s speeds, leaving the Apple retail employee unable to respond.

Customer: So the iPhone X doesn’t have the fastest download speeds.

Genius: It is faster than the iPhone 8.

OnePlus Again Pokes Fun at Apple’s Headphone Jack Removal During OnePlus 6 Announcement

OnePlus today announced the launch of its latest flagship phone, the OnePlus 6, and the company couldn’t resist taking yet another jab at Apple and its decision to remove the headphone jack from its flagship iPhones.

During the event, OnePlus introduced new $69 OnePlus Bullets Wireless headphones that are shipping alongside the new OnePlus 6. „Just one thing though. I wonder. If you can connect your earphones using Bluetooth, you don’t need a headphone jack anymore, do you?“ said Carl Pei, OnePlus co-founder.

Conan O’Brien Pokes Fun at Face ID in Skit With Fake Craig Federighi

Conan O’Brien, host of late night talk show Conan, last night did a skit covering Apple’s keynote and the new Face ID feature designed to unlock the iPhone X with a facial scan.

A fake Craig Federighi takes the stage to answer inane Face ID questions from the audience. „Does it work with the butt?“ asks one person. „What’s the maximum number of faces that the phone can recognize?“ asks another man. „That’s a good question.
