WWDC 2018 Dates Possibly June 4-8 at San Jose Convention Center

Apple has yet to announce dates for the 2018 edition of its annual Worldwide Developers Conference, but there’s evidence to suggest the event may take place between Monday, June 4 and Friday, June 8 at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California, the same venue where WWDC 2017 was hosted.

First, we’ve heard from a reliable source who says WWDC will in fact return to the McEnery Convention Center for the second consecutive year, after having been hosted at the Moscone Center in San Francisco between 2003 and 2016.

Flagship Apple Store Possibly Still Planned at Yonge-Bloor in Toronto

Canada’s most populous city may eventually be home to a flagship Apple retail store at one of its busiest intersections.

A render of what The One will look like upon completion MacRumors has learned that Apple has been labeled in a planning document for The One, a massive 82-floor condominium under construction at the corner of Yonge Street and Bloor Street in Toronto. The architecture firm behind the project, Foster + Partners, has partnered with Apple on numerous occasions.

iMac Pros With Custom Xeon Chips Possibly Appear on Geekbench Ahead of December Launch

While the iMac Pro doesn’t launch for another six weeks or so, possible benchmarks for the computer may have already surfaced on Geekbench. The results provide us with an early look at just how powerful Apple’s $4,999-and-up desktop workstation will be when it is released in December.

Interestingly, the iMac Pro models benchmarked appear to have custom, downclocked Xeon chips that Intel hasn’t publicly announced yet. There is a benchmark result for a model with a 3.2GHz 8-core Xeon W-2140B processor, while a third listing exists for a model with a 3.0GHz 10-core Xeon W-2150B chip.

Apple Store in Simi Valley Permanently Closing Later This Month, Possibly Due to Lower Sales

Apple has announced that its retail store at the Simi Valley Town Center in Simi Valley, California, located approximately 30 miles from downtown Los Angeles, will permanently close later this month.

Apple Store at Simi Valley Town Center Friday, September 15 is the last day the store will be open. Apple provided thanks for „over 10 great years“ and advised customers to visit its retail store list to find a nearby location. Apple Simi Valley originally opened in May 2006.
