Satechi today introduced a new USB-C hub with one HDMI output, one USB-C port with Power Delivery, one USB-A port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Satechi’s new USB-C hub for iPad Pro Designed for the new iPad Pro with a USB-C port, the Aluminum Type-C Mobile Pro Hub allows the tablet to be connected to a wide variety of peripherals, such as a 4K display via HDMI or a wired keyboard via USB. The headphone jack is also valuable since the new iPad Pro lacks one for wired headphones.
Satechi’s new hub can be pre-ordered now for $45 in Silver or Space Gray. The price will rise to $60 when it begins shipping around mid-December.
Apple has finalized a business agreement with Dialog Semiconductor to license its iPhone power management technology and transfer technical assets, in a deal worth $600 million.
As part of the agreement, Apple will acquire some of the Anglo-German chipmaker’s assets and 300 of its R&D staff, which is around 16 percent of Dialog’s workforce. Dialog’s shares rose as much as 34 percent on the news, their highest since 2002.
Announcing the deal on Thursday, Dialog said Apple would pay it $300 million in cash for the transaction and prepay a further $300 million for products to be delivered to Apple over the next three years. [...]

Dutch repair website FixjeiPhone had found the iPhone XS was a bit harder to open.

Eve Systems, formerly Elgato, today announced several new additions to its popular HomeKit product lineup, including a power strip, a light strip, and a new light switch for use in Europe.
The Eve Light Strip follows the Eve Flare, a HomeKit-connected mood lamp that was released in May. The Eve Flare was limited to countries in Europe and is not available in the U.S., but the Light Strip will see a wider release.
The LED light strip works with a selection of pre-installed lighting scenes and allows users to set their own colors. According to Eve, the Light Strip provides up to 1800 lumens across its two meter length thanks to triple-diode architecture. Eve Light [...]
