Apple this afternoon uploaded a new iPhone X ad entitled „Memory“ to its YouTube channel, which is designed to promote Face ID and its ability to replace a password to log into apps and websites.
In the humorous spot, there’s a gameshow-style setup in an arena filled with people, starring a man tasked with solving memory challenges. A host asks him to complete a final challenge: „This morning, you created an online biking password. What is it?“

Apple this afternoon shared several new iPad ads on its YouTube channel in the United Kingdom, all of which are designed to highlight the addition of Apple Pencil support to the low-cost tablet.
Each short video ranges in length from 12 seconds to 17 seconds and focuses on a different iPad and Apple Pencil feature or supported app. The Notes app is demonstrated in the first video, for example, while the drawing app Tayasui Sketches Pro is shown off in the second.

Facebook has started promoting the Onavo VPN client it acquired back in 2013 directly within the Facebook app for iOS devices. A link to the Onavo VPN client is available in the Facebook app in the United States under a new „Protect“ section of the Facebook navigation menu.
To get to it, tap on the hamburger menu in the right hand side of the app, and then scroll down. „Protect“ features a blue icon with a shield, and when you tap on it, it links to the Onavo VPN app in the iOS App Store.

Apple is promoting the Apple Watch Series 3 as a holiday gift idea in a new series of ads shared this afternoon on its YouTube channel. Entitled „The Gift of Go,“ each of the four videos focuses on the Apple Watch Series 3 being used during a specific activity.
The ads focus on snowboarding, soccer, working out, and swimming, with each one showing off a different Apple Watch Series 3 feature. Soccer and snowboarding, for example, demonstrate phone calls over cellular and text messaging.
