macOS 10.13.4, released to the public yesterday afternoon, introduces official support for eGPUs (external graphics processors) on Thunderbolt 3 Macs. Alongside the release, Apple has published a detailed support document that outlines how eGPU support works and provides graphic card and chassis recommendations for use with your Mac.
One or more eGPUs can be used with the 2016 MacBook Pro and later, the 2017 iMac and later, and the iMac Pro, so long as macOS High Sierra 10.13.4 is installed. Apple has added eGPU support for graphic-intensive operations like using VR headsets, 3D gaming, and developing VR apps.

Instagram has been testing a „Recommended for You“ feature that is now rolling out widely to all users, reports TechCrunch. Recommended posts show up in your standard image feed and are suggested based on posts liked by accounts you follow.
When shown in a feed, these posts are denoted by a label at the top that clearly marks them as recommended, similar to how sponsored posts are handled. With recommended posts, though, Instagram shows several in a row instead of just one.

Signs of Facebook’s silent testing of new features for its mobile app appear to be continuing apace, after some users noticed a rocket ship-shaped icon appearing at the bottom of their news feed.
(Image from iOS app via Wired) The icon has been appearing from time to time at the bottom of the iOS app’s main news feed icon and displays a different type of feed made up of posts, articles, photos, and videos from sources users haven’t followed, like Facebook Pages or posts from news media organizations, for example.

Pocket, a popular iOS app that allows users to save, discover, and recommend stories to read later, has been updated this week with the ability to like and repost recommendations from other people they follow.
The new Like and Repost actions can be found next to the Save action within the Recommendations feed on Pocket version 6.3.0 or later.
Pocket users can find out when someone Likes or Reposts their own recommendations by way of push notifications, which can be customized through the Settings app.
