Popular Mac-based photo and image editing software Pixelmator Pro received a significant update today, introducing several new features.
The update includes a wheel-like redesigned Color Balance adjustment option designed to offer a more „fluid and intuitive“ way to adjust the color balance of photos. According to the Pixelmator team, the feature was inspired by professional video grading and editing tools.

Instagram says it is testing new layout designs for user profiles over the next few weeks that will make them easier to use and better at helping people connect with each other on the social network.
The company announced the upcoming changes on its official blog, explaining that it would experiment in phases with various profile combinations and listen to user feedback:

Microsoft today released an updated Cortana app for iOS, which features an overhauled interface and new features like music and podcasts support.
For those unfamiliar with Cortana, it is Microsoft’s version of Siri or Alexa, an AI-based personal assistant that can answer questions and complete small tasks.
Microsoft has been testing the revamped version of Cortana since October. The new interface is focused on conversational experiences with Cortana, plus it includes support for music and podcast suggestions, and a focus on setting reminders, timers, and meetings.

Facebook today announced that it’s rolling out a redesigned, simplified version of the Messenger app on a global basis starting today.
Messenger 4, as Facebook is calling it, will refocus on conversations, making it easier to navigate through the app. Instead of nine separate tabs, there will be three tabs, with conversations quickly accessible through the „Chats“ tab. Quick access to the camera for sharing photos and for video chats is also included in the Chats tab.
