Ring, the Amazon-owned company known for its camera-equipped doorbells, today announced that its new Ring Alarm security system is now available for pre-order and will begin shipping out on July 3.
First announced in the fall of 2017, the Ring Alarm is marketed as a „do-it-yourself“ home security system that does not require professional installation, nor are its users required to sign up for a long-term contract.
For $199, the Ring Alarm system includes a Base Station, a Keypad, a Contact Sensor that can be situated on a window or a door, a Motion Detector, and a Range Extender.

During WWDC, Apple will be launching a Close Your Rings Challenge that’s designed to motivate developers to close the three Apple Watch activity rings each day of the week, with the challenge starting on Sunday, June 3 and lasting through Thursday, June 7.
To participate, developers will need to download the Challenges app from the App Store and sign up on the developer website for a unique invitation code. Move ring calorie goals will be set by weight for the challenge, and developers are able to team up with up to four friends to earn points.

Apple has debuted a new Activity Challenge for Apple Watch wearers today, this one focused on celebrating International Women’s Day. To complete the challenge and earn the achievement, you’ll have to double your Move ring on March 8, the day that commemorates the movement for women’s rights around the world.
The award for completing the challenge will be a set of still and animated stickers you can send to friends and family members within Messages. The page details how Apple Watch users can close the Move ring by hitting their personal goal of active calories burned, close the Exercise ring by completing at least 30 minutes of activity, and close the Stand ring by getting up and moving around for at least one minute during 12 different hours in the day.
