Kantar Worldpanel’s newest smartphone OS data details the „stellar“ performance of the iPhone X in multiple markets around the world during November, amid an overall „mixed performance“ for iOS devices from September to November 2017. While Apple’s piece of the smartphone ecosystem fell in Great Britain, the United States, Japan, and Australia, the company saw ongoing growth in urban China during this period.

Apple’s iPhone and iPad were again the most popular mobile devices gifted around the world during the holidays this year according to new data shared today by Yahoo-owned mobile analytics firm Flurry.
In the week leading up to Christmas and the end of Hanukkah (12/19 to 12/25), Flurry took a look at all new smartphone and tablet activations to see which devices consumers were purchasing most.
44 percent of new device activations were Apple devices, while Samsung devices accounted for 26 percent of activations. Huawei, Xiaomi, Motorola, LG, OPPO, and Vivo trailed behind Apple and Samsung with each responsible for 2 to 5 percent of new device activations. [...]
Belkin has temporarily halted sales of its InvisiGlass Ultra screen protector for iPhone X after numerous complaints about it cracking way too easily.
The $39.95 screen protector is no longer available to purchase from Belkin’s website or Apple’s online store after dozens of customers—but not all—complained about it cracking in normal usage conditions and without ever dropping their devices. We’re told it has also been pulled from shelves at Apple retail stores around the world.
