Ahead of next week’s Consumer Electronics Show, Samsung has announced three new monitors that it will be showing off at the event.
Samsung is debuting the CRG9, which the company says is the first high-resolution super ultra-wide gaming monitor equipped with a 32:9 aspect ratio.
The display is equivalent to two 27-inch 16:9 monitors with a dual QHD resolution of 5120 x 1440 and support for HDR10 with a peak brightness of 1,000 nits. At the back, it has an HDMI port and two DisplayPorts, along with USB ports and a headphone jack.

Some Apple Watch Series 4 owners in Australia experienced crashes and reboots on Saturday due to a bug that surfaced because of the daylight saving time change (via 9to5Mac).
According to Reddit users hit by the Apple Watch bug, the root of the problem appears to be the Infograph Modular face’s Activity complication, which displays a timeline graph with hourly data for the user’s Move calories, Exercise minutes, and Stand hours.

Smart thermostat company Ecobee has become the focus of a new profile shared online today by CNET, and alongside that article the company has revealed a new money saving feature for select Ecobee users called „Peak Relief.“ This feature was created to help users save on energy bills by automatically cutting down on heating and cooling when energy rates are higher, and then using more when rates are lower.
For those in the test, Ecobee says Peak Relief can help customers save an extra 10 percent on heating and cooling bills. Adding in the up to 23 percent of savings that Ecobee already claims from normal use, the company now aims to save customers as much as 33 [...]
Bloomberg Television today published a full-length interview between Apple CEO Tim Cook and David Rubenstein, one of three billionaire founders of private equity firm Carlyle Group, following a brief preview last month. The conversation took place at Cook’s alma mater Duke University on May 13.
Cook reflected on a wide range of topics, including his education and career path, relationship with the late Steve Jobs, the Apple Watch’s life-saving capabilities, politics, and social issues such as privacy, immigration, and equality.
