Amazon and Apple have reached an agreement that will see Amazon selling an expanded selection of iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch devices through its online storefronts in the United States, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Japan, and India, reports CNET.
In the near future, Amazon will offer its customers the Apple latest devices, which includes the new 2018 iPad Pro models, the iPhone XR, the iPhone XS and XS Max, Apple Watch Series 4 models, the 2018 Mac mini, and a selection of Beats headphones. After months of scrutiny in an ongoing antitrust case, the United States Department of Justice today granted The Walt Disney Company approval to acquire 21st Century Fox’s entertainment assets for $71.3 billion, on one new condition: Disney must divest 22 regional sports networks owned by Fox to an „acceptable“ buyer. Removing these networks from the acquisition „would resolve the competitive harm“ that has been previously raised in the antitrust lawsuit, the Department said.

AirPort base stations are beginning to sell out or disappear entirely from Apple’s online and retail stores in select countries, a few weeks after Apple announced it has discontinued the lineup of routers.
The first casualty is the AirPort Extreme, now listed as „sold out“ on Apple’s online store in the United States, and unavailable for pickup at Apple’s retail stores across the country. The base station remains available in limited quantities in select other countries, including Australia, Canada, Japan, and Singapore.

Apple is planning to offer subscriptions to select streaming TV and video services through its dedicated TV app that’s available on the iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV, reports Bloomberg.
The TV app already aggregates television and movie content from a range of different providers into one easy-to-access place, so offering subscriptions is a natural evolution of Apple’s efforts to simplify and improve the television watching experience.
