Adobe Issues Premiere Pro Fix for Bug That Caused Blown-Out MacBook Pro Speakers

Adobe has released an update for Adobe Premiere Pro via the Creative Cloud app to resolve an audio issue that left some users with blown-out MacBook Pro speakers.

Earlier this month, we reported on an issue affecting a significant number of Premiere Pro users whereby the software suddenly caused loud, distorted audio to play through their MacBook Pro speakers, resulting in permanent damage. In many cases, the issue arose when users were editing the audio settings of video clips.

Some Users Report Adobe Premiere Pro Issue Causing Blown Out MacBook Pro Speakers

There appears to be an issue with recent versions of Adobe Premiere Pro that can result in blown out MacBook Pro speakers.

MacRumors reader Alvin Shen alerted us to multiple users on the Adobe support forums who report that Premiere Pro suddenly caused loud, distorted audio to play through their MacBook Pro speakers, resulting in permanent damage. CES 2019: Anker Announces Soundcore ‚Rave‘ Series of Portable Speakers

Anker has announced a new line of portable speakers under its Soundcore home audio brand. Dubbed the Rave series, the high-watt speakers are aimed at providing the soundtrack to your next outdoor summer party.

The standard Rave speaker costs $200, is splash resistant, and comes with dual two-inch tweeters and two 5.25-inch woofers that combine to deliver 160 watts of sound.

Next in the line-up is the $150 Rave Mini, an IPX7-rated waterproof speaker that packs a two-inch tweeter and identical woofers, and offers 80W output for up to 18 hours on a single charge.

Amazon Confirms More Alexa-Enabled Speakers Will Eventually Support Apple Music

Amazon has confirmed that Apple Music will eventually be supported on additional Alexa-enabled speakers, according to a tweet from Mashable’s Raymond Wong spotted by AppleInsider. Amazon didn’t provide a timeframe for the rollout.

A variety of third-party Alexa speakers and devices are available from brands such as Sonos, JBL, Ultimate Ears, and First Alert.
