‚Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration‘ Coming to Mac This Spring

Just over two years after „Rise of the Tomb Raider“ first launched as an Xbox console exclusive in late 2015, Feral Interactive today announced that it will bring the definitive edition of the game to macOS and Linux this spring. Called „Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration,“ the Mac game will be a port of the same title that launched for PS4 in late 2016, bundling the base game with all special add-on and DLC pack content.

DirecTV Now’s Revamped Interface and Cloud DVR Features to Debut This Spring

During its fourth quarter earnings report this afternoon, AT&T shared release details (via Engadget) for its next-generation DirecTV Now video streaming platform, which will be a major revamp of the existing service.

When the update rolls out this spring, DirecTV Now subscribers will gain access to a new cloud DVR feature, allowing them to record and access their shows from anywhere.

DirecTV Now will also be gaining an entirely new interface to provide a „consistent look and feel“ across all of the company’s consumer video services, and subscribers will be able to stream to one additional device concurrently.

Apple to Deprecate Raft of Essential Services in macOS Server This Spring

Apple is deprecating a significant portion of essential network services included in macOS Server this year, as outlined in a published support statement titled „Prepare for changes to macOS Server„. Apple’s note reads:

macOS Server is changing to focus more on management of computers, devices, and storage on your network. As a result, some changes are coming in how Server works. A number of services will be deprecated, and will be hidden on new installations of an update to macOS Server coming in spring 2018.

iOS 11.3 Will Allow iPhone Users to View Battery Health and Disable Apple’s Power Management This Spring

Apple today announced that iOS 11.3, available this spring, will enable users with an iPhone 6 or newer to view their smartphone’s battery health under Settings > Battery. The software update will also allow users to disable Apple’s power management feature.
