T-Mobile held a press conference today announcing a new „Team of Experts“ service, which is the company’s next „Un-carrier“ move that’s taking aim at the poor customer service performance of rivals like AT&T, Comcast, and Verizon. During the hour-long conference, T-Mobile CEO John Legere and EVP of Customer Care Callie Field explained that customer service is „the biggest pain point“ in the telecom industry today.
Team of Experts aims to nullify that customer frustration by introducing a tight-knit team that is dedicated solely to each individual user, and others in their city, with no robots or automated phone menus to [...]
T-Mobile this morning announced the launch of T-Mobile FamilyMode, a new feature that is designed to let parents monitor and control what their kids are doing on their internet-connected devices.
T-Mobile FamilyMode requires both a FamilyMode app and a device called the FamilyMode Home Base, which is designed to connect to a home’s Wi-Fi system to provide access to connected devices.
FamilyMode from T-Mobile will let parents manage, monitor, filter, and set time limits for a range of devices, even those that aren’t connected to the T-Mobile network thanks to the Home Base. It will also provide location services for keeping track of kids.

Data that was available included full name, address, billing account number, and for some customers, tax identification numbers.
Account data, such as service status and billing status was also included, but it does not appear that credit card numbers, passwords, or other sensitive information was [...]

Sprint and T-Mobile say the company will be a „force for positive change“ in the U.S. wireless, video, and broadband industries, supercharging T-Mobile’s Un-carrier strategy and allowing the new company to „lead in the 5G era.“
The New T-Mobile will have the network capacity to rapidly [...]
